  • Help you prepare to meet with your major adviser
  • Provide links that will familiarize you with enrichment opportunities that can make your education a truly outstanding academic experience
  • Help you generate a tentative list of classes for your first semester at Cal
  • Refer you to resources that can help you succeed at Cal

We hope that you find this website useful!

Please note that this website is designed to prepare you for CalSO. It is vital that you attend CalSO as part of your preparation to enter Cal. Click here for more information about CalSO.

TOOLS should take 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. Gather copies of your transcripts and score reports to make the assessment process as speedy as possible. You can complete this web orientation all at once or a little at a time. Just be sure to complete it before you attend CalSO.

UC Berkeley students must log on using CalNetID

You probably have a lot of experience with different programming languages. However, you still need to take CS61A which offers you a solid introduction to the Computer Science program here. If you don't take the course in the summer, enroll in it for your first semester along with 1 other technical prerequisite. You will have plenty of time to take more CS courses once you get past your first semester. Contact me any time if you have questions or want help in planning your course load!
